„Himmelsblumen“ were a series of 80 flower sculptures commissioned by DaimlerChrysler and installed in Gleisdreieck Park and Potsdamer Platz in 2003.
Today, few of the oversized flower sculptures are left as overlooked remains of an abandoned art project.
Grandiflora is a temporary intervention on one of the remaining fibreglass sculptures where faded parts of the flower were applied with dark, laser-cut felt imitating scaled-up bold brushstrokes.
The intervention is accompanied by a colouring book inspired by the flower sculpture.
