SCALED TEXTILES IN 8 COLOURS
2017

Textile-covered acoustic boards, framed C-Type prints (each 50 x 70 cm)

Permanent installation at UC SYD Aabenraa, Denmark

A standard material used for acoustic control in buildings is a mineral wool covered in a coarsely woven fabric. For the campus of UC SYD large acoustic panels resembling oversized pieces of fabric – made from the material itself – are attached to walls and used as partitions. They appear to be casually arranged samples.

Placed around in the building are photographs of the building itself as a model showing other possibilities for fabric arrangements.
