The sculptures unite different investigations into how digital material can be translated into an analogue reality. The starting point is so-called ‘digital readymades’: found digital files, glitches and images generated by computers themselves.
One category of material consists of 3D models retrieved from the online database Thingiverse. These were found through a search for technical objects that possess sculptural qualities.
The second category consists of image files that have been generated on the artist's computer or smartphone without his influence - for example, as a result of software errors or automatically generated files saved in the background.
The sculptures in the exhibition consist of enlarged spare parts for 3D printers, presented on soft platforms with patterns based on found image files.
